Since I retired from my post as Head of Arts therapies in 2004, I have lived between Watford and Grenada (Caribbean) with my partner. The work I’m showing stems from the periods spent in Grenada.

Mosaics
Both works were inspired by broken and tumbled parts of shells thrown up on the beach after the hurricane Ivan. I have used these together with chopped marble mounted on slate .
Paintings of Petrogylphs.
Dictionary definition. "A primitive figure or legend carved in rock"

I was unaware that these works existed until 2005 and even then proved difficult to find and access. My immediate response to these images was intense. I interpreted them in a fairly representational way yet using changes of light to make compositional choices.
Mixed media includes ; marble dust ,sand and oil paint.
